Mariana supports the evidence-based advocacy work of the team in relation to EU Sustainability Reporting and Sustainable Finance policy developments, including Frank Bold’s role in EFRAG. She also coordinates the Business Advisory Pannel project, where she engages with experienced companies to ensure the team’s advocacy objectives are meaningful and aligned with practice.
Mariana holds a bachelor’s degree in Law and an European Master’s in Human Rights and Democratization from the Global Campus on Human Rights, a worldwide teaching project financed by the EU. Before joining Frank Bold, she worked in academia as a researcher on topics of Business and Human Rights, as a sustainability advisor for a Brussels based company and a fellow to the Delegation of the EU to the UN in Geneva. In her spare time she volunteered in refugee camps, campaigned for the Fair Trade Movement and did civil disobedience for climate justice.
She spends her evenings dancing, jogging or at the theatre. Usually with her friends.
